Successful Multisite for Machinery cooperatives* in Westphalia-Lippe
20 in 1: A WordPress Multisite Solution for Agricultural machinery cooperatives in Westphalia-Lippe
For the regional association of the “Betriebshilfsdienste und Maschinenringe Westfalen-Lippe e.V.” (* approx.: Agricultural farm relief and machinery cooperatives Westphalia-Lippe e.V.), we developed a comprehensive WordPress Multisite. This project involved creating individual websites for the 18 Machinery Cooperatives in Westphalia-Lippe, one for the regional association, and a central overview page. The goal was to provide each organisation with an individual online presence while enabling simple management and content maintenance through a central broadcast system.
Individual Online Presence for each Machinery Cooperative
Each of the 18 Machinery Cooperatives received its own landing page. These pages allow the co-ops to present their individual content, including information about local services, current news, and specific offers. The individual customisation allows each Machinery Cooperative to highlight its uniqueness and regional significance. A consistent design and intuitive navigation ensure a uniform appearance, maximising user-friendliness.
Central Management Platform with a Broadcast System
A standout feature of this multisite is the central broadcast system. This enables the Machinery Cooperatives to centrally manage and share content such as posts, service articles, and job listings. Not only does this foster the exchange of information, but it also enhances the efficiency of content maintenance. The regional association can easily distribute central content, ensuring all rings stay up to date.
The broadcast system allows the Machinery Cooperatives to save resources and optimise their communication. Content does not need to be created or maintained multiple times, significantly reducing administrative effort. The ability to share posts and articles also promotes collaboration and knowledge transfer between the rings.
Responsive Design for Optimal User Experience
The responsive design of the website ensures that all content is displayed optimally on various devices. Whether on desktop, tablet, or smartphone, the websites offer an excellent user experience and ensure easy usability. This is especially important as many farmers and members of the Machinery Cooperatives access their information on the go. A mobile-optimised display of the pages significantly improves accessibility and user satisfaction.
Efficient Search Engine Optimisation (SEO)
From the outset, particular attention was given to search engine optimisation (SEO). Each subpage was equipped with specific SEO titles and meta descriptions to ensure better visibility in search engines. This helps the Machinery Cooperatives to be found online more easily and to expand their reach. Targeted optimisation helps attract more visitors to the websites and increases interest in the services offered by the cooperatives.
